## Description

Terras de Amares, also known as Terradamares, is a family-run wine producer rooted in the Minho region of northern Portugal. The project grew from a dairy farm into a vineyard enterprise founded by José Carlos, expanding from one hectare of vines to around 85 hectares. The company produces approximately 600,000 litres of wine each year and oversees the process from vineyard to bottle, combining local tradition with technical expertise and enological consultancy from Fernando Moura.

Its wines reflect the Vinho Verde region’s fresh, light and aromatic character. The range includes Loureiro Grande Escolha, made from a traditional white grape known for floral aromas and lively freshness. Terras de Amares also offers wine tourism through experiences hosted by Casa Lata Agroturismo & Enoturismo. Visitors can join guided vineyard and winery tours, classic tastings, regional food pairings, wine picnics and workshops exploring Vinho Verde aromas and production. These activities connect guests with the landscape, winemaking process and regional food culture, while showcasing wines shaped by the distinctive character of Amares and the Minho.
