## Description

Terre-Neuve 83, also known as MCSA Bandol, is a dog-training and aquatic-rescue club based in Bandol, in France’s Var region. Established in October 1994, it specializes in educating dogs and handlers for water rescue, as well as providing training in first aid and rescue skills. The club trains both on land and in the water, including in the sea and inland waterways, and is one of the main training bases of the Federation of Aquatic Rescue Dog Handlers. It is affiliated with the Var Departmental Committee of the French First Aid Federation Croix Blanche and works closely with the Bandol branch of the French Sea Rescue Society (SNSM). Terre-Neuve 83 welcomes owners of breeds including Newfoundland, Landseer, Leonberger, Labrador, Golden Retriever, Tatra Shepherd Dog and Bernese Mountain Dog. Its community comprises more than 35 dog-handler teams that train regularly at a seafront site made available by the municipality. The club also takes part in public events and demonstrations to share its activities and promote canine rescue training.
