## Description

Terre Promise is a French organization focused on the collection and recovery of biodegradable waste, offering tailored waste-management solutions for businesses and local authorities. Its mission is to support ecological and social change by helping divert as much organic waste as possible from incineration and landfill. The organization works with communities, residents, and committed businesses to collect these materials and return them to productive use.

Terre Promise processes biodegradable waste through methanization, a biological method in which bacteria break down organic matter and release methane. The resulting gas can be used to produce heat or energy for nearby municipalities. The process also creates digestate, which can be used to fertilize agricultural fields. In this way, Terre Promise helps connect food waste with soil enrichment and supports a circular approach to local resources. Its work combines practical waste services with resource recovery, enabling organizations and communities to take part in a more sustainable way of managing organic materials.
