## Description

Texas Approved Courses is a privately operated directory that helps Texans find state-approved licensing and continuing education programs. It brings together courses from verified providers, drawing on information from Texas regulators, courts, and federal agencies. The directory covers 73 course families, including defensive driving, driver education, real estate pre-licensing and continuing education, license to carry, court-ordered programs, food handler and TABC training, insurance and nursing CE, OSHA Outreach, and boater and hunter education. Visitors can browse by category or use the Find My Course tool to identify a suitable program. Each listing links to a course page with requirements, pricing, and approved providers. Texas Approved Courses says it has helped more than one million Texans since 2008 and lists over 2,000 vetted providers. The directory is free for users: learners enroll and pay providers directly, while providers pay the directory. Its resources also include provider verification information, regulator directories, approval guidance, renewal calendars, and details about its methodology and disclosures.
