## Description

The Texas Hotel & Lodging Association (THLA) is a nonprofit trade association representing the lodging industry throughout Texas. Describing itself as the voice of Texas lodging and the nation’s largest hotel association, THLA supports hotels and the wider hospitality sector through advocacy, education, resources, and member services.

The association advocates for legislation, regulations, and resources that promote a strong lodging industry. Members can access on-demand legal guidance for operational questions and receive complimentary listings on tourism websites, including TravelTexas, TexasLodging, and TourTexas. THLA offers memberships for hotels, vendors and suppliers, and affiliates, and provides a member portal, lodging search tools, events, and industry news.

Through the Texas Hotel & Lodging Association Education Foundation, THLA provides scholarships, grants, training, and assistance to people pursuing careers in hospitality, tourism, and hotels. Its educational and career resources include a hotel short course, customer service training, internships, career information, and programs for students. THLA also shares human trafficking prevention training and resources, hosts industry events, and connects members with vendors and local hotel associations.
