## Description

De Longhorn Ranch is a family-run farm in Someren, the Netherlands, and home to a herd of Texas Longhorn cattle. The farm says it was the first business in the country with 100% registered Texas Longhorn stock, after its first calf was born in 2009. Its animals graze in the Brabant countryside as part of a nature-inclusive approach to farming. The herd helps create variety in vegetation, supports insects and birds, and contributes to healthy soil. Alongside raising cattle, the ranch sells beef directly from the farm. The meat is described as having a full, pure flavour and a low fat content. The ranch also gives horns and skulls a second life as distinctive natural products. Visitors can enjoy outdoor activities through BuitenEten.nl, the recreation business based at the farm. Experiences include rides in tuk-tuks, classic Fiat 500s and electric choppers, as well as wood-fire cooking workshops. Across its farm products and visitor experiences, De Longhorn Ranch brings together cattle, landscape stewardship and outdoor recreation.
