## Description

TEXMiN, or the Technology Innovation in Exploration & Mining Foundation, is a Section 8 company established at IIT (ISM) Dhanbad under India’s National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber-Physical Systems, supported by the Department of Science and Technology. Recognized as one of India’s four Technology Translation Research Parks, TEXMiN works to turn research into commercially feasible solutions for mineral exploration and mining.

The organization applies cyber-physical technologies, including the Internet of Things, artificial intelligence and machine learning, blockchain, drones, robotics and satellite imagery. Its work spans technology development, innovation and translation, collaboration, and capacity building. TEXMiN’s offerings and initiatives include mine asset tracking, technology projects, startup support, Entrepreneurship-in-Residence opportunities, fellowships, and training for students and industry professionals. Programs have covered digital mine planning and design, mining operations, and slope and dump stability. TEXMiN also convenes workshops and builds partnerships with academic institutions, government bodies and industry to advance mining technology. Through its research, programs and collaborations, the organization supports the development of technology-driven solutions for India’s exploration and mining sector.
