## Description

TextMyGov is a government text messaging platform that helps local governments, utilities, and public agencies communicate with residents through SMS. Its service is designed to make it easier for agencies to share timely information, answer common questions, and handle resident requests through a familiar mobile channel. Officials can send mass messages and alerts about emergencies, weather, utility services, elections, public meetings, events, and other community updates. Residents can also text agencies to find information or report issues, while automated responses provide assistance around the clock and can help reduce staff call volumes.

The platform offers features including resident requests, social media integration, surveys, voice alerts, mass emails, and emergency notifications, including IPAWS and weather alerts. TextMyGov serves a wide range of government operations, such as emergency management, public works, libraries, parks and recreation, elections, and utility providers. The company presents its solution as a practical way to improve public engagement and keep residents informed, including those who may not use social media.
