## Description

Thames Valley Heartbeat is a registered charity established in 2019 to help communities across the Thames Valley access life-saving defibrillators and learn how to use them. Its work focuses on raising funds to purchase defibrillators and providing familiarisation sessions that build confidence in CPR and defibrillator use. The charity also offers first aid cover for local events, helping organisers support the safety of attendees.

The organisation is guided by eight trustees, who contribute their time and expertise on a wholly voluntary basis. Thames Valley Heartbeat states that it has no administration, salary or expenses costs, so all money raised goes directly towards its charitable objectives. Supporters can contribute through donations and fundraising.

The charity’s listed community locations include churches, youth and scout centres, a mosque, a social club and a pub across Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Surrey. By working with local venues and communities, Thames Valley Heartbeat aims to make emergency support more accessible and encourage people to feel prepared to respond when someone needs help.
