## Description

The Balanced Plate is an Amsterdam-based food brand founded by Micaela Harrasser, bringing together Italian cooking traditions and seasonal ingredients from local Dutch farms. Its farm-to-table approach celebrates produce at its peak, with menus that change throughout the year and highlight the origins and stories behind the ingredients.

The brand offers Italian catering for corporate events and private celebrations, creating seasonal menus designed to suit different occasions. It also runs cooking workshops and culinary events, including pasta workshops and Italian aperitivo nights featuring seasonal food and wine. Brunch and aperitivo boxes for weekend pickup in Amsterdam are another part of its offering.

Alongside its catering and events, The Balanced Plate shares recipes and practical seasonal cooking ideas inspired by Italian cuisine and Amsterdam’s market produce. Its content covers dishes ranging from pasta and soups to desserts, baked goods and sides. The brand emphasizes locally sourced ingredients, sustainability and food safety, and is HACCP certified, offering customers a way to enjoy Italian-inspired food grounded in the seasons and produce of the Netherlands.
