## Description

The 06 Legacy is a 501(c)(4) nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting America’s gray wolves through education, advocacy, and electing leaders who support wolf survival. Named for a legendary Yellowstone alpha female whose death at the hands of a trophy hunter inspired a global movement, the organization works to raise awareness of the threats wolves face and encourage public action. Its website explains the history and current status of gray wolves, including their near-extinction, recovery under federal protection, and continuing vulnerability to state management policies.

The 06 Legacy offers educational resources such as wolf stories and articles, a conservation timeline, curated books and videos, and information about wolves’ role in ecosystems. Visitors can explore state-specific ways to help, learn how elected officials stand on wolf protection, and consult a nationwide Pro-Wolf Directory of supportive leaders. The organization also highlights advocates through its Howl of Fame, invites people to vote for pro-wolf candidates, and provides opportunities to donate, shop, and contact the organization.
