## Description

The Alliss Foundation is a UK charity established in 1974 to improve mobility and quality of life for children with disabilities. It raises funds for powered wheelchairs, encouraging golf clubs, societies, businesses and individuals to take part in charity events and support a chair for a child in their local area. Over the years, the Foundation has provided more than 1,000 powered wheelchairs for children across the UK.

Golf is central to its fundraising programme, which includes the Peter Alliss Masters and the Alliss Broadcasters Cup. These events bring together supporters, broadcasters, sports figures and golf enthusiasts to raise money for the charity’s work. Individuals can also make one-time or monthly donations through the Foundation’s JustGiving page.

The wheelchairs funded by the charity help children take part in everyday activities and enjoy greater independence with their families. Families describe the practical impact of equipment suited to each child, including chairs that are lightweight, foldable or supportive.
