## Description

The Allotment Cook is an online gardening and food community founded in 2015 by Jayne Hickling MCI Hort. It shares practical tips, ideas and inspiration for growing fruit and vegetables in allotments and gardens, then making the most of home-grown produce through cooking and recipes. Since its launch, Jayne has broadened the project’s reach by sharing gardening and food content across multimedia platforms and with broadcasters. Her work has involved community groups, gardeners, product makers and companies, and the brand offers opportunities for paid partnerships and collaborations. Visitors can explore content through its website and social channels, including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn and TikTok. The site also features Jayne’s videography, photography, podcasts and publications, alongside information about her work. She is a trustee of the Lincolnshire Gardens Trust and has been included in Feedspot’s Top 100 UK Gardening Influencers list in 2023, 2024, 2025 and 2026. The Allotment Cook brings together growing, cooking and community-focused inspiration for gardeners and home cooks.
