# The Arc Cedar Valley - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `thearccedarvalley.org` ## Description The Arc of Cedar Valley is a nonprofit organization serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families in Waterloo, Cedar Falls, and the surrounding Cedar Valley community. Founded in 1954 by parents seeking greater support and inclusion for their children, the organization has spent more than 70 years advocating for equity, dignity, accessibility, and opportunity. Its work combines community advocacy with practical support. The Arc helps families connect with other parents who have navigated similar medical, behavioral, and everyday challenges, and offers limited financial assistance to individuals and families facing temporary or ongoing difficulties. It also provides educational information to help families understand options for relatives with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Community members can support the mission by volunteering, becoming members, donating, or partnering with the organization. These efforts help advance disability rights, strengthen inclusion, and create a more accessible community. The Arc also organizes events that bring people together around inclusion and belonging, and shares resources through its website and community connections. ## Industries - ⛑ Health - ⛑ Developmental and Physical Disabilities _(under Health)_ - 🎗 Community and Society - 🎗 Philanthropy _(under Community and Society)_ ## Links - [facebook](https://facebook.com/Arccedarvalley) - [instagram](https://instagram.com/thearccedarvalley1954) ## Logos & icons - logo _(primary)_ — PNG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/id1vLr5Gug/w/185/h/131/theme/dark/logo.png?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1793080211575) - icon _(primary)_ — JPEG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/id1vLr5Gug/w/1136/h/1136/theme/dark/icon.jpeg?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1793080212235) ## Colors | Name | Hex | Theme | | --- | --- | --- | | Antique Brass | #c89474 | accent | | Copper Canyon | #783b14 | dark | | White | #ffffff | light | ## Fonts - sans-serif — asset _(custom)_ - sans-serif — asset _(custom)_ --- _Source: _ _See [/llms.txt](/llms.txt) for a full list of agent-readable pages, and [/auth.md](/auth.md) for how agents authenticate._
