## Description

The Arrell Family Foundation is a Canadian philanthropic organization focused on improving human and planetary health through food. It supports projects across research, capacity building, infrastructure, convening and policy advocacy, and works with grantees and public and private partners to co-create programs. Where possible, these initiatives aim to secure ongoing government funding.

Most of the Foundation’s grants and investments advance food research, food security, sustainability and food policy across Canada. Its work spans grassroots, institutional and policy levels, supporting collaboration and change. Beyond food-related initiatives, the Foundation also supports selected hospitals in Toronto and surrounding areas, mental health initiatives, innovative research, Indigenous reconciliation and cystic fibrosis.

The Foundation shares information about its work and the Arrell Food Institute through its website, along with news and contact details. Based in Toronto, it provides philanthropic support rather than commercial products or services. Its portfolio reflects a broad approach to community impact, combining research and practical initiatives with partnerships intended to address health, sustainability and policy priorities.
