## Description

Asylum Artist Quarter is a place-based, socially engaged arts organisation in Wolverhampton, working through Asylum Artist Quarter CIC and Asylum Art Gallery Ltd. Together, they develop regenerative arts projects shaped by the needs of the region and collaborate with city stakeholders across the arts, local government, voluntary organisations and community groups. Their work promotes the role of art in regeneration and community wellbeing.

The organisation operates two spaces: Asylum Art Gallery, used for exhibitions and artist residencies, and Asylum Artist Studios, which houses 12 regional artists and supports public programming. Its activities include public art projects and interventions, city-wide events, exhibitions, workshops, artist development programmes, mentoring and internships. It also provides artist studios, photography studio hire and creative support.

As a neurodiverse and disability-led organisation, Asylum Artist Quarter prioritises a supportive, people-first environment. Its collaborative, co-designed approach aims to make the arts more accessible, involve local communities in decision-making and encourage creative responses to societal issues.
