## Description

The Bach Choir is the leading independent UK chorus, renowned for their exceptional performances of choral music since their establishment in 1876. Their mission, under the direction of David Hill MBE, is to inspire and connect people from all backgrounds with the magnificent and emotive power of choral music through their performances, recordings, and community projects. With a rich history spanning nearly 150 years, The Bach Choir has had only nine musical directors, including esteemed figures like Sir Charles Villiers Stanford, Ralph Vaughan Williams, and Sir David Willcocks. Their commitment to excellence and passion for music has remained unwavering. While Bach remains an important part of their repertoire, The Bach Choir also commissions, performs, and records new works that contribute to the future of choral music. Their powerful performances, featuring over 200 voices singing together, create an unforgettable experience for audiences. From prestigious venues like the Southbank Centre and Royal Albert Hall to international tours, their music has resonated across the world. In addition to their performances, The Bach Choir is dedicated to inspiring singers, audiences, and communities. With a membership of over 240 talented individuals from diverse backgrounds, they also engage in community programs, bringing the joy of music to schools and care homes. They firmly believe in the positive impact singing has on health, happiness, and social inclusion. Under the leadership of David Hill MBE, The Bach Choir continues to make its mark on the choral landscape, with the support of notable figures such as HM The King, who serves as their patron, and John Rutter CBE as their president. Their commitment to excellence and their vision for the future shines through in every performance, as they strive to inspire and connect people through the power of choral music.
