About
Description
The Bank of Dreams is a creative charity dedicated to nurturing creativity in kids. Inspired by 826 Valencia, a youth writing and tutoring center in San Francisco, the charity aims to provide real-world outcomes for its projects. The idea for the charity came to founder Nick Goldsmith while visiting the Pirate Store at 826 Valencia.
Utilizing his film producing background, Nick has created a space where workshops are run by professional individuals, resulting in exciting and endless possibilities. The Bank of Dreams is part of the International Alliance of Youth Writing Centers, a network of learning centers around the world. The charity also offers a shop where visitors can browse and buy pirate supplies, which not only helps pay the rent but also creates a bridge between the organization and the community.
With a team of dedicated individuals, including creative learning manager Ed Swift, volunteer coordinator Alex Green, and funding coordinator/workshop facilitator Claire Shaw, The Bank of Dreams is committed to making arts education accessible to all. As a trustee, Simon Deverell, the founder and creative director of Crowdfunder, brings his expertise in crowdfunding and media production to support the charity's mission. Join The Bank of Dreams in igniting the imagination and dreams of children everywhere
