## Description

The Busking Contest is a street-music competition and cultural event organized by Associazione Mesopotamia ETS. Its sixth edition brings emerging performers to towns across the Gulf of Tigullio, turning public spaces into stages and connecting artists, audiences, and local communities. Qualifying rounds take place in Rapallo, Chiavari, and Santa Margherita Ligure, followed by semifinals and a final in Lavagna. Artists can register to compete, with the event presenting live performance as a way to discover new talent and experience the character of each host city.

The contest offers several awards and performance opportunities. The NUOVO IMAIE prize provides €10,000 to support the winner in producing a tour. A finalist can receive a paid concert at Musica e Gusto, Lavagna’s street music and food event, while a semifinalist can earn a paid performance at the Zueni Festival in Chiavari. The competition also presents the Roberto Pettinaroli special mention, recognizing an artist whose work is innovative and contemporary and demonstrates a distinctive singer-songwriter sensibility.
