## Description

The Coding Train is an educational creative-coding community led by Daniel Shiffman, offering beginner-friendly tutorials, projects, and learning resources through YouTube and its website. It welcomes newcomers and curious learners who want to explore coding through experimentation and self-expression. Learners can follow structured Tracks, which gather video tutorials into sequenced curricula, including courses on programming with p5.js and machine learning in JavaScript with ml5.js. The channel also features Coding Challenges using p5.js and Processing, covering topics such as algorithmic art, simulation, generative poetry, and machine learning. A getting-started guide and FAQ help visitors find their way, while the Passenger Showcase highlights creative projects made by the community and explains how to submit work. The Coding Train supports community participation through Discord, where members can discuss projects and get coding help, as well as through events and social channels. Supporters can contribute through YouTube Membership, Patreon, GitHub Sponsorship, Twitch subscriptions, Nebula subscriptions, or purchases of The Nature of Code book.
