## Description

The Colours Foundation is a nonprofit veteran service organization founded in 2023 and led by and for women who have served. Its mission is to help women veterans understand, access, and connect with the VA benefits and resources they have earned. The organization works to bridge gaps in support through free monthly community engagement events that offer a welcoming place to build connections, find information, and receive personalized guidance. It also follows up with participants to help them navigate the VA system.

The foundation’s programs and resources focus on wellness, advocacy, peer connection, and healing. These include mental healthcare advocacy, peer-led crisis support, suicide prevention resources, and healing-centered materials. Its events and activities aim to foster community and sisterhood, while volunteers may help plan events, lead wellness classes, listen and provide support, or assist with benefit navigation. Donations help fund these efforts and expand access to care, advocacy, and community for women veterans.
