## Description

The Congo Tree is a youth development organisation supporting young people affected by conflict in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo. Its work focuses on helping young people build the skills and confidence to contribute to the communities they call home. The organisation offers leadership training, develops entrepreneurial skills, and supports young people’s artistic endeavours, equipping them with practical tools to pursue their ambitions and create positive change.

The Congo Tree’s flagship initiative, the WYLD Programme, provides transferable life skills, mentorship training and support, and a safe space where participants can be themselves. Through its programmes and projects, the organisation aims to nurture young people’s potential and encourage them to shape their own futures. The Congo Tree also shares its story and programme updates through its website, news and social media, and invites people to get involved and donate to support its work. Its approach centres on working alongside young people as they become agents of change in eastern DR Congo.
