## Description

The Court Reporting Academy (TCRA) is a professional training provider preparing students for careers in court reporting and related legal services. Its programs combine flexible online study with instructor guidance, live group sessions, practical assignments, and technology-focused learning. Students develop skills in areas such as transcription, real-time editing, remote proceedings, and automated speech recognition, with support from experienced instructors and mentors.

Course options include Digital Court Reporting, Digital Reporter Mentorship, stenographic court reporting, AAERT Digital Reporter Certification Preparation, and scopist training. The academy also lists a free Digital Scopist course as a new offering. Programs vary in length and format, from self-paced study to multiweek courses and a longer stenographic reporting program. TCRA’s training is designed to prepare learners for potential work as digital or stenographic court reporters, legal transcribers, scopists, and proofreaders or editors. The academy emphasizes practical preparation, professional support, and multiple career pathways in a changing legal technology industry. It is a platinum sponsor of the American Association of Electronic Reporters and Transcribers.
