The Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse (CPCA) is a private nonprofit organization dedicated to preventing child abuse in the Mid-Hudson Valley. With a mission to reduce child maltreatment, CPCA has been serving the community since 1973. Their comprehensive programs and services are designed to reach approximately 15,000 children, adults, and families each year.

Through prevention programming, educational training, and support services, CPCA aims to break the cycle of child abuse and create a safer environment for children. Located in Poughkeepsie, New York, CPCA offers a Child Advocacy Center, a Supportive Parenting Program, and a Personal Safety Program. They also provide trainings, including NYS Mandated Reporter Training and the Keeping Children Safe Workshop.
