The Conrail Historical Society (CRHS) is a nonprofit organization that is passionate about preserving the history of the Consolidated Rail Corporation (Conrail) and its predecessor railroads. Established in 1995, CRHS aims to collect, restore, and interpret materials associated with Conrail to ensure their preservation for future generations.

Conrail, also known as the Consolidated Rail Corporation, was a federally-created railroad that played a crucial role in rescuing the financially troubled rail system in the northeast of the United States in 1976. While Conrail ceased to exist in 1999, it continues to live on through the efforts of the Conrail Historical Society.

CRHS engages in various activities to preserve Conrail's history. They focus on equipment preservation and restoration, organize events such as conventions and barbeques, publish articles and publications including the Conrail Quarterly, and maintain an archive of historic photos. Additionally, CRHS collaborates with museums and provides consultation to model train manufacturers.
