## Description

The Curling News is an independent publication dedicated to curling, the Olympic winter sport, and describes itself as a global authority on the game. Founded in Calgary, Alberta, in 1957 as Canadian Curling News, it is owned by Roustan Media Ltd., which also owns The Hockey News. For decades, the newspaper offered reporting, analysis, behind-the-scenes stories, photography and information for curling fans, with individual and curling-club subscriptions. Digital editions arrived in the early 2000s, adding bonus stories, links, videos and interactive text. Print publication was suspended in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic, and the title later became available free through a digital partnership with Sports Illustrated. Today, The Curling News publishes online at TheCurlingNews.com, combining coverage of the sport’s history with reporting on the modern game. Its offerings include news, championship updates, team-change reports, features, podcasts and community discussion. Coverage spans competitive curling and related stories, with attention to the build-up to the 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games in Italy.
