## Description

The Dance Centre at Scotiabank Dance Centre is a renowned brand that offers a wide range of dance residencies and programs, providing a platform for artists to challenge themselves artistically with professional guidance. They invite talented individuals to join their dance residencies and projects to develop and showcase their work in Vancouver. To apply, artists can look out for the annual call for program submissions, which is published regularly. The Dance Centre offers diverse programs to support the artistic development of dance artists. Their Artist-in-Residence program provides artists with space, mentorship, and resources to create new work and connect with wider audiences through activities such as talks, showings, and performances. The DanceLab program promotes research and collaboration between dance and other disciplines, enabling artists to explore cross-art form collaboration for artistic growth. Additionally, they offer choreographic development projects with local, national, and international partners, fostering experimentation and the development of choreographic ideas. The Dance Centre also conducts artist workshops, information sessions, and consultations designed for artists and professionals in the dance sector. These workshops cover various topics such as grant writing, career development, marketing, choreographic techniques, and more. To support their mission and programs, The Dance Centre offers different ways to donate, including monthly giving options and corporate sponsorships. They also have volunteer and sponsorship opportunities available. The Dance Centre is committed to helping dancers thrive and grow in their artistic journeys, making it a vital hub in the dance community. Join them and be a part of the vibrant dance scene in Vancouver.
