## Description

The Flow Country Partnership is a Scottish charitable organisation dedicated to caring for and promoting the Flow Country, a vast blanket bog landscape across Caithness and Sutherland in northern Scotland. Inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in July 2024, it is recognised as the world’s most intact and extensive blanket bog system. Its interlinked peat pools and distinctive habitats support remarkable plants and wildlife, including rare birds, while peatlands help protect against the effects of climate change.

The Partnership brings together communities, land managers, businesses, organisations and local government to support the landscape. Its work includes peatland restoration projects, World Heritage site planning, natural capital initiatives and learning resources for primary and secondary schools. The organisation also offers information and inspiration for visitors, including suggested walks, points of interest, road and rail travel guidance, and details of trails, museums, visitor centres and archaeological sites. Through news, volunteering, partnerships and public engagement, the Flow Country Partnership helps people understand, experience and contribute to the conservation of this extraordinary natural and cultural landscape.
