## Description

The Forge Community Iceplex is a community-built nonprofit initiative developing Central Oregon’s first year-round, two-sheet ice facility in Bend, Oregon. Designed as more than an arena, it aims to provide a welcoming gathering place for athletes, families, and the wider community. Plans include two NHL-regulation ice sheets for hockey, figure skating, public skating, learn-to-skate programs, and youth and adult leagues. The facility is also intended to support regional and national tournaments, expanding local access to ice sports and creating opportunities for visitors.

Beyond the ice, The Forge plans to offer gym space for strength and conditioning, a pro shop, skate sharpening, and essential equipment services. Its lodge-style community areas are envisioned to include coffee, workspace, a restaurant, and a bar, giving families and friends space to meet and spend time together. The nonprofit says its model is designed to be debt-free, with diversified revenue from programs, events, memberships, retail, and food and beverage. The project seeks community support through donations, sponsorships, and partnerships.
