## Description

The Foundry is a nonprofit organization based in Bessemer, Alabama, dedicated to helping men and women rebuild their lives after addiction, instability, incarceration, homelessness, trauma, and other difficult circumstances. Its recovery programs support participants as they pursue healing, develop life skills, and work toward lasting change, while also recognizing the role of families and communities in restoration.

The Foundry’s services include programs for men and women at its Bessemer facilities, The Foundry Farm, Changed Lives Christian Center, and Esther House. Through counseling, education, life-skills development, and daily support, the organization helps participants move toward purpose-filled lives. Its reported impact includes program graduates, meals served, and hours invested in counseling, education, and personal development.

The organization invites individuals to support its work through monthly or one-time donations, thrift stores, vehicle donations, volunteering, and other forms of giving. Its monthly donor community, The Change, helps fund life-change programs; the organization notes that a $30 monthly gift provides 15 meals. The Foundry also shares recovery stories, impact updates, and information about getting help.
