## Description

The Frank Horton is an annual cross-country running event held at Shelby Farms Cross Country Course in the Memphis area. Its signature event, the Frank Horton Classic, is presented as a premier fall nighttime race, with runners competing under the lights. The Classic features a 2K race for elementary and middle school runners and a 5K race for high school runners. The weekend also welcomes participants of all ages to the Horton 2K Fun Run and 5K Trail Race, offering options for both casual runners and trail-race enthusiasts.

The event takes place over two days, October 2–3, and provides practical information and ways to participate through its website. Visitors can find event details, live results, race photos, parking information, and information about the VIP tent. The site also offers registration, volunteering, and donation opportunities, alongside a store and details about sponsors and food vendors. With races for school-age athletes and the wider public, The Frank Horton brings together competitive running, community participation, and a festive fall race-weekend atmosphere.
