Freedom Foundation is a pioneering brand that aims to challenge societal norms and provide comprehensive care and support for individuals dealing with substance abuse and HIV/AIDS in India and beyond. Established in 1993, when substance abuse was pervasive and highly stigmatized, the foundation recognized the need for a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to de-addiction. It became India's first Comprehensive Care Centre for de-addiction, introducing the innovative BIO-PSYCHO-SOCIO Model.

Expanding its reach, the foundation also ventured into HIV/AIDS care, setting up the country's first-ever care centre for People Living with HIV/AIDS (PLHAs). Through their initiatives, they have provided free ART (Anti-Retroviral Therapy) programs for destitute women and have become the largest service delivery NGO in Substance Abuse and HIV/AIDS. Their impact extends across Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Goa, Maharashtra, and Nigeria, where they continue to address the needs of marginalized communities affected by disease and poverty.

The foundation's commitment to HIV-positive children orphaned by the pandemic is commendable, providing them with bio-psycho-socio support, educational and community support, nutrition and medical assistance, and comprehensive care. They have also established residential facilities for HIV-positive abandoned orphans. Recognized globally, Freedom Foundation has received prestigious awards for its excellence in comprehensive care and community support.
