## Description

The Friends of the Saint Paul Public Library is an independent, nonprofit organization that serves as a catalyst for libraries to strengthen and inspire their communities. While public funding for libraries is essential, it often falls short in providing all the resources residents need. That's where The Friends steps in. Through fundraising, advocacy, and programming, The Friends invests in libraries to ensure they can offer inspiration, information, and space for people from all backgrounds. They advocate for the library by engaging citizens and elected officials, raise funds to support library initiatives, and connect people to libraries through a wide range of programs for readers and writers. Additionally, The Friends shares its expertise through consulting services that help libraries cultivate their potential and better serve their communities. With a rich history dating back to 1945, The Friends is a trusted partner in the promotion of reading, literacy, and the scholarly study of books. Join their mission and make a lasting investment in your community's libraries.
