## Description

Danushka Gunathilaka is a Sri Lankan cricketer who has made headlines recently due to sexual assault allegations. He has pleaded not guilty to the charges, which involve a Sydney woman he met through the dating app Tinder. During a police interview, Gunathilaka was seen crying while giving his version of events. He denied forcefully kissing the alleged victim, slapping her buttocks, choking her, or engaging in unprotected sex. According to him, he met the woman at the Opera Bar before going for pizza in the Sydney CBD and then returning to her home for drinks. The court has heard that the two had matched on Tinder. Gunathilaka's barrister questioned the police officers involved in the case, raising concerns about incomplete notes and the handling of evidence. The trial is ongoing, and the judge will continue to examine the evidence presented. It is important to note that support for survivors of sexual abuse or rape is available through various organizations globally.
