## Description

The Gate is an Italian-language fantasy MUD set in Ikhari, a fragmented and evolving world shaped by its inhabitants. Players create characters, explore cities, wilderness, ancient ruins and forgotten secrets, and build personal legends through their choices and interactions. Rather than following a predetermined story, The Gate centers on interpretive role-playing: alliances, rivalries, events and histories emerge from players’ actions.

The game features multiple playable races, including humans, elves, dwarves, halflings, orcs and goblins. Its open skill system has no levels or classes, allowing players to learn abilities without fixed restrictions and shape their characters over time. Adventures can involve combat, exploration, political intrigue or simply spending time in the company of other players. Ikhari is persistent, so the world continues to develop as its community makes its mark.

The Gate provides information about its world, history, cities, pantheon, races and gameplay, alongside news, a guide, community links and ways to report bugs or typos.
