Report Local is a nonprofit organization strengthening independent local journalism in the United States and around the world. Formerly known as The GroundTruth Project, it became Report Local in 2025 as it shifted its focus to expanding its flagship programs, Report for America and Report for the World. Together, these initiatives have placed nearly 1,000 journalists in hundreds of newsrooms worldwide.
