## Description

The Hapalua is Hawaii's largest half-marathon, organized by the Honolulu Marathon Association. Held on the second Sunday in April, this event is open to everyone with no time limit. Starting in the picturesque Waikiki, the race takes participants on a breathtaking course through Honolulu and around Diamond Head. The name Hapalua comes from the Hawaiian language, meaning half. Finishers are rewarded with a beautiful medal and delicious treats like freshly made malasadas and shave ice. In addition to the half marathon, The Hapalua offers other exciting events like the Virtual Hapalua, King's Runner 10k, Honolulu Marathon, and more.
