## Description

The Heart of Weston is a community-based charity established in loving memory of brothers Chris and Steve Phillips, who both died of cardiac arrest. Founded to give back to the village they cared about, the charity works to help protect lives in Weston through practical heart-health and emergency-response initiatives. Its aims include maintaining the defibrillator at Weston Village Hall, providing heart screening for people aged 14 to 35, offering ECGs for adults, and delivering general first-aid training for adults and children. The organisation also promotes awareness of what to do when someone experiences a cardiac arrest, sharing an educational video to encourage people to learn and pass on potentially life-saving information. Donations support the charity’s work, with contributions directed towards its goal of helping save lives. The Heart of Weston also highlights local defibrillator locations, including Weston Village Hall and the Saracens Head, and organises community events and fundraising activities. Through these efforts, it aims to support the wellbeing and safety of the Weston community.
