## Description

**Brand Description: The Historic Present (HP)**

The Historic Present, led by independent scholar and freelance writer R. Sós, is an engaging platform dedicated to exploring the complexities of American history. Through insightful writing and critical analysis, HP aims to challenge common narratives, particularly around themes like slavery, equality, and justice. Sós, deeply passionate about his work, has a rich background in American history and a technical degree focused on 17th-century New England, which informs his exploration of historical events and their implications on modern society.

The brand offers a diverse array of content, including blog posts that inspire conversations around democracy and historical truths, and critiques of the pervasive myths in American history. HP invites readers to reckon with the country's ideals and encourages them to see themselves as active participants in shaping the future of America. By fostering an inclusive dialogue, The Historic Present seeks to ignite a collective responsibility among all Americans to uphold the principles upon which the nation was founded.
