## Description

The History Center is a history and archives center in Diboll, Texas, dedicated to collecting, preserving, and sharing the history of East Texas for education and research. Its resources document the people, communities, industries, and landscapes of the region, with particular attention to local history in Angelina County and the East Texas Pineywoods.

Visitors and researchers can explore permanent indoor and outdoor exhibits, rotating topical exhibitions, online collections, and finding guides that offer an overview of archival materials before an in-person visit. The center’s digital resources include photographs, maps, business papers, and other historical records. Its oral history collection features more than 350 interviews conducted from 1954 to the present, preserving first-person accounts of life and work in the region.

The History Center also publishes Pine Bough magazine, which shares stories and photographs drawn from its collections. On-site visitors can plan a visit to the center at 102 North Temple in Diboll, open Monday through Friday.
