## Description

The History Guy is the history-focused media brand of Lance Geiger, known on YouTube for making short, research-based stories about overlooked events and people. Its videos typically run five to fifteen minutes and cover subjects ranging from aviation, inventions, and historical figures to battles, disasters, and everyday objects. The website organizes stories by topic, location, and time period, helping viewers explore history across eras and regions. Alongside its video channel, The History Guy produces a podcast, including the Counterfactuals series, which considers how different choices or events might have changed the past. The brand also offers merchandise through its online shop and invites audience members to suggest subjects for future episodes. Its content is presented for educational purposes and places events in historical context, with public-domain images selected to illustrate stories when original imagery is unavailable. Supporters can contribute through Patreon, helping the team continue producing historical content. Through videos, podcasts, and related offerings, The History Guy aims to make forgotten history accessible and memorable.
