## Description

The History Hound Presents is a community-focused history and genealogy project created by Richard MacLeod, a Newmarket Historical Society member and local genealogy enthusiast. Inspired by a lifelong interest in history, particularly the history of Newmarket, the site preserves and shares stories connected to the town and its community. Its archive brings together articles, photographs, videos, podcasts, recorded presentations, and oral-history recollections, including stories remembered from family dinners and community gatherings. Topics span local heritage, historic places, schools, churches, community events, sports, and genealogy, with a Genealogical Detective series among its features. The site also highlights heritage preservation and invites people in the community to contribute stories of their own. Visitors can explore blog posts, gallery materials, online media, and archived presentations, or follow the project’s calendar and speaking information. A mailing list offers updates and access to previous campaigns. Through these resources, The History Hound Presents encourages people to discover, document, and share Newmarket’s history.
