## Description

The Independent Panel for Pandemic Preparedness and Response, established by the World Health Organization (WHO), has completed its main report, "Covid-19: Make it the Last Pandemic." This panel was created in response to the World Health Assembly resolution 73.1, with a mission to provide an evidence-based path for the future, drawing on lessons from past and current health crises. The panel's focus areas include assessing the WHO-coordinated international response to COVID-19, reviewing the effectiveness of existing mechanisms, and making recommendations to enhance global pandemic preparedness. Through various research methods and stakeholder engagement strategies, the panel aimed to analyze the impact of the pandemic and develop a vision for a stronger international system for future health emergencies. Their work was conducted impartially and transparently, with reports presented to WHO governing bodies and the World Health Assembly. The panel was supported by an independent Secretariat, led by Anders Nordström, dedicated to facilitating meetings, producing reports, and implementing panel recommendations.
