## Description

The Jeni Fund is a charitable organization dedicated to continuing the generosity and community spirit of Jennifer “Jeni” Doherty. Jeni was a passionate educator who connected with students in Paterson Public Schools, advocated for fellow teachers and staff, and later volunteered to support burn survivors after sustaining a serious burn injury. Her family and friends now volunteer their time to carry forward her commitment to helping others.

The fund provides scholarships and other financial assistance to burn survivors, students in Paterson Public Schools, and students at the Academy of the Holy Angels. It also supports first responders on Long Beach Island and throughout Bergen County. Through community initiatives, The Jeni Fund addresses food insecurity by distributing packages of essential groceries to families in need. Its activities include the annual Birthday Beach Bash & Dash in Beach Haven, as well as other events and fundraising efforts. Supporters can contribute to the fund and sign up for updates about its work and upcoming events.
