## Description

The Library is a UK dating app built around “slow dating for kind humans,” offering an alternative to swipe-focused platforms. It provides a space for people to form friendships, start conversations and potentially find romance through thoughtful, gradual connections. Rather than displaying photos or encouraging snap judgments, the app invites members to answer a daily question from one of seven categories. Their responses help reveal personality and values, while matches are made according to preferences and compatibility.

Members remain anonymous until they choose to connect. When they do, a private chat space lets them get to know each other at their own pace. Joining is free, and the service does not use advertising or pressure members to upgrade. New members receive four “stamps” to make initial connections; further connections carry a small charge, described as roughly 95p each.
