## Description

The Louding Voice Education and Empowerment Foundation is a Nigeria-focused nonprofit inspired by the novel The Girl with the Louding Voice. It works to support girls affected by limited access to education, domestic labor, child labor, and gender-based violence. The foundation sees education and empowerment as ways to help girls build safer, more hopeful futures and aims to strengthen communities as part of that work.

Its mission centers on education as liberation, addressing the challenges facing girls, combating gender-based violence, and empowering communities. The foundation’s initiatives include a Back to School Campaign, the Rag to Pad Initiative, and The Louding Voice Award and Prize. It also shares stories and educational information to raise awareness of the barriers facing children and women in Nigeria.

The organization invites people to contribute through donations, volunteering, and sponsorship, and shares updates through its gallery, newsletter, and social media. Based in Lagos, the foundation is guided by trustees with experience in public service, business analysis, and literature, including author Abi Daré, whose novel inspired its work.
