## Description

The Maintainers is a dynamic global research and practice network dedicated to advancing the fields of maintenance, repair, and care. It brings together interdisciplinary change-makers, researchers, practitioners, and everyday individuals who prioritize the essential forms of labor, expertise, and infrastructure that sustain our built environment. Through reflection, research, and advocacy, The Maintainers fosters a community that addresses the vital aspects of maintaining both self and society. Their offerings include valuable resources such as the recently introduced Maintainers Study Guide, designed to help practitioners ground their work in essential principles of maintenance and repair. The network also highlights initiatives like cave formation repair in the Yucatán Peninsula, promoting innovative approaches to preservation. With backing from organizations such as the Raft Foundation and previous support from the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, The Maintainers is committed to enhancing understanding and appreciation for the crucial work of maintenance and care in our world.
