## Description

Thimar is a Saudi business-financing platform that connects small and medium-sized enterprises seeking funding with investors looking for opportunities. Operating under the supervision of the Saudi Central Bank under license number 75/A Sh/202307, the platform facilitates debt-based crowdfunding and offers financing and investment options designed to comply with Islamic principles, including murabaha and mudarabah arrangements.

For businesses, Thimar provides financing for purchases such as equipment, fixed assets, inventory, and related services, with repayment periods ranging from one to 36 months. Applicants are asked to meet eligibility requirements, including operating for more than two years and having annual sales of at least SAR 1 million. For investors, the platform lists business-financing projects, allows users to review project details and choose opportunities, and supports monthly, quarterly, or end-of-term distributions, subject to project terms and performance.

Thimar states that it reviews projects and applicant information, but emphasizes that debt-crowdfunding investments carry significant risk and investors may lose some or all of their capital and returns.
