## Description

Historica Canada is a prominent organization dedicated to fostering a deeper understanding of Canadian history and heritage through various initiatives. One of its flagship programs, The Memory Project, serves as a unique volunteer speakers bureau that connects veterans and Canadian Forces members with schools and community groups nationwide. Through this initiative, these brave individuals share their personal stories of military service, enriching audiences of all ages and promoting remembrance. Since its inception in 2001, The Memory Project has successfully engaged over 3 million Canadians, providing invaluable resources such as video content and educational toolkits like the Korean War Resource Kit and Remembrance Day materials. The organization not only empowers veterans to become speakers but also offers opportunities for community involvement, encouraging a culture of remembrance and appreciation for Canada’s military history. With a commitment to connecting Canadians to their past, Historica Canada continues to play a crucial role in preserving and sharing the stories that define the nation.
