## Description

The Nature Institute (TNI) is a nonprofit land conservation and environmental education organization based in Godfrey, Illinois. Founded in 1980, it works to foster awareness and appreciation of the natural world through education, restoration, and preservation. Visitors can explore its trails and natural areas, including Olin Nature Preserve, Mississippi Sanctuary, Kemp and Cora Hutchinson Bird Sanctuary, Freeman, Metzger, Larson Savanna, Cypress Pond, and Heartland Prairie. The trails are open seasonally, with visitors asked to stay on marked paths and follow site guidelines; pets are not allowed.

TNI offers nature programs for children, adults, and families, along with field trips, birthday parties, outreach activities, scout programs, and special events. Its educational opportunities include hands-on experiences such as Outdoor Adventure Kits and programs focused on local wildlife and habitats. The organization also invites community participation through volunteer opportunities, including native seed collection and preparation, and supports its conservation and education work through donations and memberships.
